FITC Toronto 2021
Collaborating with friends PJ Richardson and Alex Liou on the FITC Toronto 2021 titles was a career highlight. The brief was wide open, allowing for an incredibly exploratory process that was as technically challenging as it was rewarding. My role was to bridge the gap between their blobby 3D environments and my 2D experimental type animation. The color scheme was set, which was a nice starting point. Beyond that I explored stretching, retro dither, frenetic keyframes, and snappy movement. It was an extremely unique project that pushed me to find new ways of making letterforms breathe and move within a playful, high-concept space.
