For 36 Days of Type 2023 I created blobby letters in illustrator, thinking about making shapes that would inflate in an interesting way. Then I brought them to Houdini as splines and inflated them with a vellum solver. I created Redshift materials and rendered from Houdini. Then finished off with some comp in After Effects. This was a great experience, and I'm proud of the Houdini vellum set up that worked on my imported splines with minimal adjusting. See more of the animations on instagram @mystical_feelings
